Building community, building the local economy, and building a place for people to sell what they love to make.
Thank you to the wonderful people who have been part of the fairs.
We are making some pretty awesome things in the Northland! I'm proud to be part of building the local economy, having people take part in their first-ever fairs, bringing in local organizations as part of awareness and education of issues, fundraising, and volunteer opportunities in our area, and creating the start of community connections that have resulted from these fairs. I've put on over 75 fairs over the last 15 years.
The fairs are open to area artisans (no resale/dealers) living within about 50 miles of Duluth. Note: some fairs have special themes. If you are part of a local organization and are interested in a space at one of the fairs, let me know. I love combining education and community outreach as part of the fairs.
Come on a day trip with me. Several are arts related. Go to www.wendyupnorth.com/excursions.
Up North Excursions are arts/music/history/nature day trips from Duluth to events, places, and shows in the Northland.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org and mention if you are an artist or shopper. If you are an artist please let me know what you make and the town you live in.
